MALYOVITSA VIA THE NORTH FACE

THE CROWN OF ALPINE CLASSICS

The black triangle of Maliovitsa mercilessly dominates the landscape above the cradle of Bulgarian alpinism captures the eyes as soon as you reach the parking lot of Central Mountain School.

Tricky slabs, technical corners and chimneys, and challenging roofs prevail in this domain of vertical granite.

Although modern techniques and climbing equipment have softened its temper a bit, the North face of Maliovitsa still retains its wild nature. With each challenging crux you realize that getting to the top will require being just as bold as the first ascensionists back in 1938.

The jagged shapes and tumultuous history of this bastion so boldly throw the gauntlet in your face that you cannot find peace until you finally decide:

"Damn it, I'm going to climb that wall!"

Come with us and enjoy an epic experience on this arena of technical climbing!

In order to take part in the climb, you must have good experience in rock climbing and belaying a guide, as well as to comfortably climb at least 5c on rock.
