The walls and ridges of Vitosha's Rezen peak are home to some of the earliest alpine routes climbed in our country and offer the most classic form of fast and light summer mountaineering.

The quick access from Aleko Refuge, the low to moderate difficulty of the climbs and the great views from these jagged mountains make them attractive to both novice and experienced climbers alike.

Dive with us into this wild granite adventure, and enjoy a spectacular day of engaging and diverse climbing!

ITINERARY PRICE SIGN UP

Meeting at the square of Dragalevtsi district around 7:00-08:30 on the day of the climb. Equipment check and departure to Aleko hut. Once at the hut, we will do the mandatory for every winter day check of our avalanche equipment, as well as the rest of the equipment. Then we will head to the upper part of the Laleto track and after 20 minutes, we will dive into the alpine part of Vitosha!

Около час подход ще ни отведе до основата на скалните ръбове „Резньовете“, където планината ще ни даде възможност да избираме от разнообразна палитра алпийски терени – над главите ни се простират множество снежни кулоарчета, остри алпийски ръбове, и дори къси технични стени! Ако сме късметлии, ще има дори машрути с натеъл алпийски лед, на който да се насладим!
Разбира се, ще изберем линията според нашите възможности и желание за (липсата на 😀 ) зимен „suffer-fest“.

By climbing interesting cruxes of frozen tuffas or dry-tooling, we will load up on adrenaline and accumulate some sweet fatigue before reaching the end of our climb. Here we will enjoy the incredible panoramic view of the mountains - Rila and Stara Planina, the Iskar Dam and the city of Sofia, before descending. If we have the strength, we will be able to make one or even two more climbs during the day, as a final touch to our alpine adventure.

Mandatory personal equipment:

- backpack - about 25-35 liters
- mountaineering boots
- suitable clothes:
* comfortable pants with long legs
* thermal blouse and leggings
* fleece jacket
* comfortable ski touring pants * hardshell jacket
* down jacket or jacket with synthetic insulation - with a hood
- winter hat
- mountaineering gloves
– buff or other head / neck scarf
- headlamp
- sunglasses
- sunscreen
- hiking poles

If you have your own alpine equipment – helmet, harness, crampons, ice axes or ice tools – you can bring them too. Otherwise – we will provide them for you!

ATTENTION! Regardless of how safe the snow conditions are, all participants will be equipped with personal avalanche transceivers. This is an internationally accepted standard for winter mountain safety, and we will always adhere to it 200%!
