Day one
Sini Vrah village - In Kaya - The Sentinels - Sini Vrah village - Belintash
10:00 - group meeting in Asenovgrad, departure to the village of Sini Vrah.
In Kaya means "blue rock" in Turkish and is believed to have been a cult site in the region. This sanctuary is often hidden from view due to the dominant Belintash sanctuary, but we will, of course, be happy to move aside from the noise of the crowd!
Steeped in an equally millennia-old history, the In-Kaya Sanctuary will provide us with more beautiful views. It is peculiar about the area, that the history of these sanctuaries was only initially studied in the not so distant year of 2004!
After absorbing the energy of In Kaya, we will head towards the Momin Stone and the Guardians (Kaz Kaya) rock formations.
The rock complex here contains many ancient anthropomorphic images and sacrificial pits and carvings that will engage our imagination and transport us to distant and harsh times in history.
On our way back to Sini Vrah village, we will check into our cozy guest house and have dinner, but for the sunset we will walk to Belintash to send the day off from this mystical place!
Day two
Mostovo village - Karadjov Kamak - Mostovo village
After a breakfast suitable for the upcoming feats of hiking, we will head to the village of Mostovo and the icing on the cake of our adventure – Karadjov Kamak peak!
Karadjov Kamak is a colossal and impressive rock phenomenon surrounded by the wonderful nature of the Kormisosh Nature Reserve. Access to the top itself is provided by a metal railing and a wooden ladder passing right under the jammed block of the same name. Adrenaline here is guaranteed, but the guide will ensure our safe passage!
The last few steps in the rock are cut by the Thracians, but this historical fact will hardly impress you, because the steep climb will engage your focus on 100%!
Don't worry though! It's not as scary as it looks, and the view from the top of the plateau is simply amazing!
The slopes of the nearby and distant Rhodope areas - Belintash and Krastova Gora - domniate the landscape and the eyes can wander all the way to the area of the "Martsiganitsa" refuge!
After enjoying the panoramas and capturing them in photos, we will descend down the same path with the railing, because the rest of the plateau's walls are absolutely inaccessible!
After enjoying the mystical energy and beauty of this place, we will head back to civilization, with jubilant souls filled with memories of the great Rhodope Mountains!
Bonus: If we are very fast and haven't had enough adventures already, we will also visit Krastov Vrah to enjoy its panoramas, and then we will return to Mostovo through the sacred forest of Krastova Gora.
