The north ridge of Yalovarnika is one of the most technical and interesting in Pirin mountain. Following this ridge closely, you'll enjoy some really airy and engaging yet technically easy climbing, sprinkled here and there with a few pinches of slightly more vertical rock sections. During the climb, you'll enjoy real history just under your hands and feet – the harder sections are dotted with relic pitons and anchors from the first ascensionists, possibly dating back to the 1950's.
The remote nature of the ridge also provides an experience of being completely alone with the mountain. It will be just you, one faithful companions and your alpine guide. As you gain altitude along the route, the final touch of your experience will be added by the panoramas, unfolding all the way - literally - to the other side of the entire range and its highest summits!
The route is extremely suitable for people without any climbing experience who want to take their first steps in mountaineering.
