We invite you to, without a doubt, one of the most classic winter alpine climbs, with a view of the most ferocious north face in Bulgaria!
Departure before sunrise is a must here, so you can enjoy the sunrise on the most technical section and reach the top in spectacular light!

P R O G R A M
The evening before the climb – arrival at the Shiligarnika area and hike to Virhen hut – 1:30 h. Overnight stay in the hut, which offers warm rooms and restaurant.
Pre-dawn alpine start at 04:30 and approach to Jamdzhiev ridge – around 2–2:30 h.
Climbing the technical Dzhamdzhiev ridge to Vihren summit – around 2–2:30 h.
Depending on the conditions, the descent route back to Shiligarnika area will vary – we will choose an easier descent hike, or backtrack along Dzhamdzhiev ridge.

This alpine route is undertaken by a group of two clients. For a VIP climb (1 person), please ask about the price.
The price includes:
- certified English-speaking alpine guide
- mountain insurance for the duration of the program (with extreme sports coverage)
- avalanche kit for every participant
- overnight stay at the Vihren Mountain Hut
- trip planning
The price does not include:
- transportation, food and beverages, personal expenses, and anything not listed as included
Mandatory personal equipment:
- backpack of about 30–40 liters
- winter hiking shoes + gaiters
- snowshoes — depending on conditions, you can rent them from us
- crampons — you can rent them from us
- ice axe — you can rent it from us
- trekking poles with snow baskets

The maximum number of participants for this alpine climb with one guide is 2. This ensures the highest level of service.
For winter mountain climbs, the price includes an avalanche kit for each participant. You can rent all other equipment (crampons, ice axes, snowshoes, etc.) from us for an additional fee. We can also ensure a harness and helmet.
No, transportation is not included, but we can assist you if you'd like. Additional fees apply.
