Malyovitsa is one of the highest and most beautiful peaks in Bulgaria – 2729 meters above sea level.
Its northeast wall was a dream for climbers in the first half of the 20th century.
We invite you to climb the classic tourist trail and enjoy a bird’s-eye view of the entire Rila Mountain!
Transfer from Sofia or Plovdiv to the Malyovitsa tourist complex, located at 1700 m above sea level. From here, we can already see our goal for the day – the majestic Malyovitsa peak! Our first destination for the day is the Malyovitsa hut, which we reach after an hour.
From there, we climb up a glacial valley that will take us to Elenino Lake, where we will stop for a rest. But we still have some way to go to reach the summit. After another hour and a half of climbing, we finally reach Malyovitsa Peak!
From here, we can see almost the entire Rila Mountain, the Rila Monastery, countless peaks, lakes and rivers.
